Continuing List of Weird Things About Israel

Israelis eat pizza by the meter (a meter is roughly 3 feet). There is a popular chain of pizza parlors where you order pizza according to the meter - quarter meter, half meter or whole meter. They also have Dominoes and Pizza Hut but Pizza Meter is funnier.

Israelis are all Jewish (aside from the Palestinians and Israeli Arabs and Christians and Muslims and Druse). This is weird because for all intents and purposes everyone you meet at a bar, club, restaurant or job is Jewish. Even the strippers are Jewish. Even the transvestites on the street are Jewish. Everyone is Jewish. This probably takes the most getting used to. It's just weird to think about - no more wondering if someone is Jewish or not.

And now I'm off to Pizza Meter. I haven't eaten the whole day so I think I'll go for seven eights of a meter.
