Misunderstanding"In the whole round of human affairs little is so fatal to peace as misunderstanding."
-Margaret E. Sangster (1838-1912), U.S. author, remembering the Civil War.
Is life doomed to failure? Are we just doing our best while here but ultimately without the ability to truly have happy, complete lives with the ever-sought-after inner peace, quiet and niceness? Whether others
accept us and our opinions or not, we definitely do our best to make sure they
understand. And misunderstanding suck. They just suck! I have no answer, no crystal ball, no silver bullet.
Misunderstandings suck.
"And what is Love? Misunderstanding, pain, delusion and retreat? It is in truth like an old brandy after a long rain, distinguished and familiar and aloof."
-J.V. Cunningham

"In human intercourse the tragedy begins, not when there is misunderstanding about words, but when silence is not understood. Then there can never be an explanation."
-Henry David Thoreau (1817-1862), U.S. philosopher, author, naturalist.
I don't really want to write too much commentary or opinion in this specific posting. However, I will say that perhaps silence is the worst misunderstanding of all. I wish I could explain the misunderstandings recently caused by my silence but I think they are the hardest to explain. Therefore, all I can say for now to the important person in my life whom I've recently had big misunderstandings with, is
I apologize.
